Kothimbir Vada

Ingredients :

   

Wheat flour

- 1 cup

Gram flour (besan )

- 1 cup

Coarsely peanuts

- 1/2 cup

White seasame seeds

- 2 tab spoon

Ginger-garlic paste

- 1 or 2 tsp

Coriander leaves ( chopped)

- 3 cups

Chili powder-

- 2 tsp

Sugar

- 1 tsp

Turmeric powder

- 1/2 tsp

Soda bicarbonate

- 1/4 tsp

Garam masala

- 1/2 tsp

Oil

- as needed
Salt - to taste

Method :

Take a vessel or bowl mix flours, sesame seed, coriander leaves, peanut powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, soda bicarb, ginger-garlic paste, sugar and salt add water and make a thick paste.

Heat the 2 tbsp of oil and add to the paste Grease a deep platter and spread the paste evenly. Steam for 15 minutes. In a idli streamer or pressure cooker.

D'nt keep weight.Remove the steamed things and cool it.Cut in a diamond shaped pieces.Heat the oil and deep fry these pieces.

Serve hot kothimbir vada with green/coconut chutney. For children it can be served with tomato sauce. Even with nice curd.
