Tomato Thokku

Ingredients :

Tomatoes : 4-5nos
Mustard Seeds : some
Gingelly Oil : 5tbps
Sambar Powder : 1tbsp
Asafoetida : 1tsp
Water : 1cup
Salt : to taste

Method of Preparation:

Cook 4-5 fully ripen in boiling water for 5 min.Remove the outer skin.Squash the tomato.

Fry some mustard seeds in 5tbps of gingelly oil.Add squashed tomatoes,1tbsp of sambar powder,1tsp of asafoetida,salt and cook in simmer until oil gets seperated from the mixture.

Serve with idli or rotis..

Great recipe, infact this is an all time favourite in kerala as side serving for breakfasts.
