Spinach Topped Meat Loaf

A traditional dish from Germany, Scandinavia and Belgium, meatloaf is ground meat combined with other ingredients. Here Ms. Jayee Anthraper tops up meatloaf with spinach giving it a delicious, healthy twist. Watch Video!

Ingredients : 

Minced Mutton

- 450 Gm

Finely Chopped Small Onion (Leeks)

- 1

Garlic Cloves(Crushed)

- 4

Small Carrot  

- 1

Egg To Bind

- 3

Bread Crumbs

- 1 Cup

Tomato Sauce

- 1/4 cup

Butter    

- 15 Gms

Cheese

- 1/4 Cup

(Sun Dried)

   
Spinach - 1 Bundle(Blanched)

Cheddar  Cheese (for Topping)
 

In a bowl combine all of the meat loaf ingredients mix lightly, but thoroughly. Put meat loaf mixture in round loaf tin or shape into loaf on a rack, and bake for 30 mins or until cooked. Remove meat loaf from oven. Spoon the spinach on top of meat loaf, and top up with cheese. Bake for 8 to 10 mins.

Tip : Meat loaf can be prepared a day ahead and refrigerated, covered or frozen for up to 3 months.

PS - Line the loaf tin with greased butter paper.
