Roast Lamb Chops in Red Wine

Oven Baked Lamb Chops are popular for the taste as well the simplicity in making.

Try out this classic lamb chop dish demonstrated by Jayjee Anthraper



Dry red Wine  - 1/2 cup

Fresh Orange Juice 

- 1/2 cup


- 1/4 cup


- 1/2 tsp

(4)Thyme, Bay leaves ,Salt ,Pepper

- 1/2 tsp

Olive Oil  

- 1/4 cup
Pomegranate - 1/4 cup

Marinate 4 lamp chops in the above marinade for 24hrs. Remove the lamp from marinade. Strain the marinade. Keep aside.


Olive oil  - 2 tbsp
Medium Onion (Chopped and firely) - 2
Garlic clove (Chopped) - 4
Plum Tomatoes (Chopped) - 2
Thyme  - 1/2 tsp
Oregano - 3tbsp

Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Cook the onions and garlic till the onion becomes translucent. Remove  onion and garlic and set aside.

Now add the lamb to the pan and brown on all sides over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, tomatoes, strained marinade and rest of seasoning. Bring to boil for 15 minutes.

Transfer chops and sauce to baking pan. Bake uncovered for 3 hours or until meat is tender.
