Cooking Method :

Lets first prepare the Paneer filling. Heat oil on medium flame in a thick bottom pan. Add half tsp of mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add Chopped onions along with curry leaves and sauté for a while until the onions turn golden brown. Now lets add coarsely mashed potatoes along with grated carrot and sauté for some time until the oil separates. Once the potatoes turn golden brown, we can add the Masala's such as Pepper powder, turmeric powder, Red chilly powder, Coriander powder and curry masala and continue sautéing. Remember that your filling shouldn't be too dry; hence we can add water to retain its greasy consistency. Now add crumbled paneer into the pan, continue sautéing for 3-4 minutes. Turn off the stove and let your filling cool for some time.

Once the paneer filling is cool enough lets mash and knead it into small, one and half inch sized Paneer balls for frying. Dip the Paneer balls in corn flour mixed with water for 10 minutes to get a crunchy crust while frying. Finally heat oil in a pan until it turns piping hot, deep- fry few balls at a time till they turn golden brown on all sides. Your crunchy Paneer balls are ready to taste.

Paneer balls recipe is a starter, and can be served hot with green chutney or tomato sauce for perfect combination.
