Cabbage with Green Peas

Cabbage chopped finely - 2 cups
Green peas soaked or boiled - 1 cup
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Asafoetida powder - a pinch
Red chilly powder - 2 tsp
Chopped Spring leaves - 1 tbsp (Optional)
Chopped Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - to fry

  • Heat oil in the saute pan on a low flame.

  • Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.

  • Add cabbage and green peas in to the pan.

  • Then add turmeric powder, asafoetida powder and chilly powder into it.

  • Mix well and saute for 5 minutes.

  • Add salt and cook for 15 minutes on a low flame.

Now the dish is ready... You can serve it in a side plate along with the main meal!
