Potato Bajji or Aloo Bhaji

Ingredients :

Potatoes sliced in circle shape - 2nos
Gram flour - 1cup
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Asafoetida powder - a pinch
Oil - as required
Salt - as per the need
Water - as required

Preparation :

Add chilli powder, salt & asafoetida powder to the gram flour. Mix it well with the required quantity of water. The mixture should not be too thick or too thin.

Now put a pan on the stove and pour oil and heat it for deep-frying. Dip the potato slices in the mixture, and coat with the batter evenly. Now place the slices very carefully in the oil. Fry it until the potato slices turn golden colour. Take it out from the pan and drain excess oil. Serve it with sauce or chutney with a hot cup of tea.
