Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan and add oil. Add onions and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook for 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, honey, salt, pepper and bring all the ingredients to a boil. Then, reduce heat and let them simmer for about 35 minutes.
Remove from the heat and puree in a blender. Return to the saucepan and add cream. Heat but do not boil. Serve hot or cold.
