Bhindi Aloo Masala

Bindi aloo masala is a yet another simple recipe you'd love making at home .The recipe is made with spices such as Veg Masala and is good when served with roti's . This 20 minutes recipe is a good side dish for strict vegetarians.

Ingredients :

Oil - 3-4 tbsp
Okra - ½ cup sliced
Cumin seeds - a few
Green chilies chopped - 3-4
Ginger garlic paste - 1-2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Onions chopped - 3-4
Red Chilly Powder - 1-2 tsp
Chat Masala - 1-2 tsp
Boiled Cubed Potato's - 4-5
Cubed tomatoes - 4-5
Salt - to taste
Water - as required

Cooking Method :

Place a heavy bottomed pan under medium flame, pour 3-4 tbsp of oil and wait until the oil turns piping hot. Splutter some cumin seeds, to this add ingredients such as chopped green chillies, ginger garlic paste and sliced okra's. Sauté the ingredients, to this lets add turmeric powder and continue sautéing for a minute. Close the lid and cook for a while until the veggies turn tender.

Now that out Okra's are cooked, it is time to prepare the Masala. Add chopped Onions and keep sautéing until it turns golden brown. Then put in the spices such as red chilly powder, chat masala and salt and keep sautéing. Slowly add boiled potato cubes and some water to avoid the recipe from getting burned. Further to enhance the taste lets add some cubed tomatoes, close the heavy bottom pan with a lid and it cook for 10 minutes. Your yummy Bindi Aloo Masala is ready to serve.
