Cooking Method :

Soak tamarind in a little water. Pour oil into a pan at medium flame, once the oil turns piping hot add chopped tomatoes and sauté for some time. Now we can add soaked Tamarind, Asafetida and thinly chopped garlic into the pan. Continue Sautéing until the veggies are cooked. Turn off the flame and allow the veggies to cool for some time, now with the help of a blender, grind the veggies until it turns chunky.

Now that the veggies are ground, its time to garnish our dish. Lets start again by placing a shallow pan under medium mode. Pour oil into the vessel, once the oil is heated up, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add the formerly ground veggies into the shallow pan along with red chilly rowder and salt, mix well and finally add sugar into our Achaar. Once the Achaar simmers, switch off the stove. Our sweet tomato Achaar is ready to serve.
