Borage leaves (Panikoorka) are medicinal leaves used commonly as home remedy for Cough, fever etc.

Borage leaves can also be mixed with lemon juice and water in a mixer, for a flavourful lemonade.

Ingredients :
Indian borage leaves - 6 - 10
Basen flour - 1 cup
Salt - for taste
Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
Asafoetida powder - 1 tsp
Water - to make a thick batter
Oil - to fry

Cooking Method :

Take a bowl.. Put the besan (chickpea) flour, red chilly powder and salt together. Mix it well with water to make thick dough.

Heat oil in a pan.

Dip the borage leaves in dough... Ensure the dough has covered the leaf fully.

Then deep-fry the leaves in hot oil.

When it turns brownish in colour take it out and serve in a plate...
