We generally use fried Papads as a side item for a normal meal in south India. Shall we make a different dish with papad?

Papad -  
Coconut - 1 cup
Onion chopped - ½ cup
Green chilly - 3
Curry leaves - 8-10 leaves
Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Oil - to fry

Cooking Method :

  • Fry papads and keep it crispy.
  • Grind coconut, onion and green chilly together coarsely. Note.. Don't let it become a paste consistency...
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Put mustard seeds into it. Let it splutter. Then put curry leaves...
  • Add coconut mixture into the pan and fry it till it turns light brown in colour.
  • Crush papads and then add the Papad pieces into the pan... Mix well and switch off the stove. Let the papad remain crispy. Serve hot.
