Roast the Brinjal(without cutting) on a gas stive or microwave. Remove the skin. Mash the brinjal pulp and keep it aside.
Fry urad dal, red chillies, black peppercorns in oil till they turn brown. Add tamarind, salt and little water and grind them coarselt. Finally add the brinjal pulp to this mixture. This chuteny goes well with dosa, puris and rice as well
