Prawn Mappas

Ingredients:    

Prawns or Lobster

- 250gm

Oil

- 2dsp

Mustard

- 1tsp

Onion

- 1/2 cup

Garlic clove

- 1tsp

Ginger

- 1/2 tsp

Water

- 1 1/2 cup

Kodampuli

- ( cocum- a kind of tamarind)
Salt - to taste

Green Chillies

- 2

Curry leaves

- 1 sprig

To be ground :

   

Coriander roasted and Powdered

- 1dsp

Red Chilli roasted and powdered

- 1/2 tsp

Turmeric Powder

- 1/4 tsp

Pepper powder

- a small pinch

Garlic flakes

- 2
Fenugreek seeds - a small pinch

Method :

Grind the ingredients to be grounded finely. Heat oil in a frying pan and season mustard. Saute in Onion, garlic, ginger, ground masala and boil adding water, tamarind and salt. Add green chillies, curry leaves and prawns and mix well.

Cook till done. Serve hot.
