Malpua is a sweet dish commonly made during festival times, in North India.

In some regions, it is a special delicacy prepared during Holi and Diwali.

Ingredients :

Milk - 1/2 ltr
Sugar - 2 cups
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Plain flour - 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 1/4 tbsp

 Cooking Method :

Boil the milk in a pan till it reduces to half the quantity. Transfer milk into a bowl.

Add some water to 1 cup sugar and keep on stove to boil, let all the sugar dissolve in the boiling water and let it reach one thread consistency. Switch off the stove, Keep the sugar syrup aside for later use.

Add flour to the cooled down milk and whisk it properly leaving no lumps.

Add one cup sugar along with baking powder into the batter and mix well.

Heat ghee in a pan and pour a spoonful of the batter to make round small pancakes

Fry it on low heat on both the sides. Once fried, dip them in the sugar syrup and serve.
