Karimeen or Pearl Spot Masala

Ingredients :

Pearl Spot - 1
Green chilly - 2-3 chopped
Coconut Oil - 3-4 tbsp
Curry leaves - 10-11
Onions - 2-3 chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp
Garlic - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1-2
Coconut milk - 1/2 cup
Fish stock - 1/2 cup

Cooking Method :

Marinate the cleansed fish with Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Salt, Lime juice and Ginger Garlic paste and keeo aside for half an hour before frying.

Meanwhile in another pan lets prepare the masala by adding chopped Garlic, Ginger, Green chillies, chopped Onions and Curry leaves, Cook the condiments till it becomes soft.

Turn the fish over its other side so that both the sides gets equally cooked.

Add chopped Tomatoes into the masala and lets continue to toss and fry.

Lets drain the fried fish from the oil and keep it aside.

We can add the spices such as Turmeric powder, Red chilly powder, Salt into the condiments and saute well. Add a little of Fish stock into the Masala. Now its time to add the formerly made Fried Pearl Spot into the Masala.

Finally add Coconut milk into the recipe and let Karimeen Masala cook for 2 Minutes.

Now that our Karimeen Masala is ready lets transfer the curry into a serving plate.
