ASPINWALL HOUSE
A large colonial-era trading compound by the harbour with a variety of structures including offices, warehouses and a residential bungalow totalling 1,60,000 sq ft, has been transformed into an exhibition space for the biennale. Built in 1867, Aspinwall House, in a sense, represents Kerala's long trading history, having served as the office for an English firm dealing in pepper, coconut oil, timber, coir, coffee and rubber. DLF Limited has offered Aspinwall House to the biennale for free use during the event.
