Chicken Cafrel (Chicken roast with garam masala)

Ingredients: 

 

 

Chicken pieces

1kg

Salt

-

to taste

Juice

-

of 2 lemons

Coriander leaves

-

1bunch

Ginger

-

3"piece

Garlic

-

10 flakes

Garam masala

-

2 tsp

Green chillies

-

6nos

Onions

-

2 large

Star anise

Oil

 -

 

For Garnishing :

 

 

Onions, sliced into rings

-

2nos

Sliced tomatoes

- 2nos

Sliced and fried potatoes

- 2nos
Sliced lemon - 2nos

Method of Preparation :

Marinate the chicken with salt and lime juice and keep aside for 15 minutes.

Grind the remaining ingredients, except oil, to a fine paste. Apply the masala paste to the chicken and marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the marinated chicken till well fried. Cover and cook till done and dry.

Serve hot with rice, garnished with onion rings, slices of tomatoes, potato slices and lemon wedges.
