Cooking Method :
First we will pour two teaspoons of coconut oil into the pan. Next we will add fenugreek seeds we took two cups of rice so we will add two teaspoon of fenugreek. When smell of fenugreek seeds emanates we will add urad dal. Two teaspoon of urad dal for one cup of rice. So we have taken two cups of rice, lets add four teaspoons. For one cup usually 3 red chillies are used. Here we will use six but if you want it mor spicy add two more chilli.
Soak rice in water for 4 hours. At the same time soak tamarind, salt, turmeric powder and jaggery. Soak this also so that it is easy to use in blender. Fry it till you get its flavour. Put off the flame when it turns brown. Now add cumin seeds for two teaspoons, coriander seeds for four teaspoons. Now add half cup of coconut to it. We will shift this fried items to a blender. Just powder it after that add the soaked tamarind - jaggery mixture to it. To this add soaked rice just turn on the blender and mix it well.
Our dosa batter is ready. This is a very nutritious dosa. Pan is getting hot, gingelly oil is the best to use for dosa. Our hot pan is ready, lets make dosa. Make thick dosa dont make it too thin. Tasty uppu puli dosa is ready. This is so tasty that it doesnt require any side dish for it. If you want you can have it with butter..
Another recipe for using the same uppu puli dosa's batter. If you just dip this and keep it on pan we will get a very tasty dosa of it. Instead of banana we can also use tapoica, potato, onion etc. In loose batter, dip the banana and keep it like this. It may take time. It takes 5 minute to cook one side so you have to wait a bit.
If you put it on high flame it may burn. Making banana it will be good if you use some ghee over it. Banana made in uppu puli dosa's batter is ready. Only idli rice should be used for it.
