Benefits of Ragi are plenty.. Ragi is best food for weight control, diabetes and also acts as perfect heat buster. The calcium content in Ragi makes it even popular among old people. Let me introduce you to our simple 15-minute recipe Ragi Porridge.

Ingredients :

Water - 2 glasses
Ragi Powder - 2-3 tbsp
Powdered Jaggery - 1-2 tsp
Fried nuts - 10-12

Cooking Method :

To cook the Porridge, first heat 2 glasses of water in a pan under medium flame. Add 2-3 tbsp of Roasted Ragi into the pan. Stir continuously with a slotted spoon until the powder dissolves and no lump is formed. Slowly bring the water to boil. Optionally you can add milk instead of water to enhance the taste. Finally add grated Jaggery-Jaggery is added instead of sugar for its rich iron content and brown color, along with the sweetness.

Let the porridge boil for 2 minutes and finally season with fried cashew nuts.
