Bread Uthappam

A simple instant breakfast dish made with bread crumb

Ingredients :

Semolina - 3 tablespoon
All purpose flour - 3 tablespoon
Yogurt - 1/4 cup
White bread - 3 slices
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 teaspoon
Tomatoes finely chopped - 1/4 cup
Bell pepper finely chopped - 1/4 cup
Green chilly finely chopped - 2-3 nos
Cilantro finely chopped - 2 tbsp
Salt - to taste.

 Cooking Method :

Remove crest from bread and cut them in small pieces. In a blender add bread, semolina, all purpose flour and yogurt and blend it well to get thick and smooth paste.

Take out the batter in a bowl and add remaining ingredients such as cumin seeds, bell pepper, tomatoes, green chilly, cilantro and salt and mix it well.

Lightly grease a skillet over medium heat. Pour about 2 tablespoon of batter and spread it. Consistency should be of thick pancake.

Let it cook for about 2 minutes and turn them over. Bread uthappam should be golden brown from both sides and this should take about four minutes.

Notes: Do not cook oh high heat, Uttapam will not cook through.
