Pineapple Kesari

Ingredients :

Cardamom Powder - 2 or 3 pinches
Finely Chopped Pineapple - 1
Rava or Semolina - ½ kg
Ghee - as required
Sugar - 2 cups
Cashew Nuts - 10-15
Water - 2 cups

Preparation :

In a pan, pour required quantity of ghee for frying the Rava. Roast the rava in the ghee. Keep stirring the rava, till it turns golden colour. Now keep the roasted rava aside.

Again heat the same pan, pour water and add chopped pineapple to it. Cook till the pineapple becomes soft and pulpy. Meanwhile roast cashew nuts in a small pan and keep it aside.

See our pineapple mix is ready. Add sugar, cardamom powder, rava and cashew nuts to it. Mix it well. Pour the rest of the ghee to it. Allow it to boil well. Once it is ready, shift it to a bowl. Decorate according to your imagination.

Instead of pineapple you can add mango, banana or any other fruit according to the availability and your taste. Or you can make rava kesari as such without any fruits.
