Puratchi Thalapathi Vishal, in the title role, is Assistant Commissioner Satyam. Young, energetic and straightforward, the AC projects himself as an inspiring model for those in the force. His strong principles and perseverance makes them function with a deep sense of honesty and duty-conscious. Satyam faces a lot of challenges and troubles from wrongdoers who err and by habit, try and conceal their crimes. Yet, he does not give up and fights to save the dignity of his profession.

Nayanthara is the beautiful and brainy newsreader Deivalakshmi who works for a local TV station. Captivated by Satyam's courage, Deivalakshmi falls in love with him. At a certain point, their careers too converge; smart Deiva helps Satyam out in a few ways.

Kannada actor ,director, producer Upendra is the villain. Sudha Chandran, popular actor on television as well as in Bollywood also plays a role. With the vibrant team, the action, comedy, romance, and glamour in addition to a sturdy storyline in Satyam promises to be a great entertainer.

A mega-budget venture, the movie is produced by Vikram Krishna and directed by Rajashekhar. The story happens in a metro; shooting has been carried out in Chennai, Hyderbad, Ladakh, Rajahmundhry, Thenkasi and Kurnool. A runway sequence was shot exclusively in Dubai.

Simultaneously made as Salute in Telugu, the movie will introduce Vishal in Tollywood. Devoting two months, Puratchi Thalapathi Vishal has totally transformed his physique and body language to play the role of the perfect AC. He has performed the stunt sequences without any duplicates.

Art director Thotta tharani has erected an amazing set for one of the song sequences. The estimated cost for the set is 1.75 crores. The award-winning art director has also designed a mobile police station for the unit. Craig Mumma, who has worked in Hollywood movies such as Mummy and Matrix, has handled the graphics and award winning lensman R.D. Rajasekher is the cameraman for Satyam. Using crash camera and Helycam, he has recorded some stunning sequences for the film. This is the 25th film for music director Harris Jayaraj and as always, his tunes will cater to popular tastes.

Debutant director Rajasekar, author of the story, came up with this plot about two years ago. He endured the wait to include Puratchi Thalapathi Vishal's star- value and popularity. Satyam will shimmer with a super story and a stunning budget.
