Mammootty, the super star
of malayalam is playing the role of an ordinary buss conductor in V.M
Vinu's film "Bus Condoctor".In this film he plays a muslim
character called Kunjakka.
The story of the movie is about the life and life time of Zakir Hussain
(Mammootty) alias Kunjakka.He is the owner as well as the conductor
of Maithri Bus in Eranad. This bus service was first started by Kunjakka's
father Abookka and his pal Madhavan. After his father's demise, Kunjakka
took over the responsibility of the service. Kunjakka, an honest man,
gives due respect to each and every passenger. His family consists of
two sisters - the elder married, and the younger named Selina (Mamta),
a heart patient whom Kunjakka dotes upon. He is firm on his decision
of marrying only after Selina recovers from her disease. Noorjahan (Nikhita),
a teacher who is in love with Kunjakka is ready to wait till his problems
are over. But things take a turn when Suganthi (Bhavana) comes in search
of Kunjakka.
.Writer T.A.Razak narrate the day-to-day life of the bus employees
in malabar region.We can see the real picturisation of our private bus
employees like cleaners, drivers , conductors and petty owners of the
bus, corrupt RTO officers and spiraling cost of fuel which has put the
industry in a bad shape.To get the real filament of realism running
all through, many real-life drivers and conductors have been sought
out to act in the film.
Mammootty plays the role of Kunjakka to perfection. Harishree Ashokan
plays the role of a cleaner, a close friend of kunjakka. Mamta, who
was introduced by Hariharan in Mayookham, enacts the role of Selina.
Jayasurya is paired opposite Bhavana, Sanjeev Shankar wields the camera.
The film is produced by Vaishak Rajan under the banner of Vaishak Films.
M. Jayachandran composes music for the songs penned by Girish Puthencherry.
The film also has Innocent, Augustine, T.P. Madhavan, Abu Salim, Sreeraman
and others. The shooting of the film is fast progressing in Ottappalam
and surrounding areas. The film is expected to release during Christmas
No doubt that this movie will be a clean family entertainer.
