Another thriller from the hit team of Gaddar- Ek Premkatha.. but this time Anil Sharma- Sunny Deol team fail to rise up to the expectations.

Arjun Khanna (Sunny Deol ) an army intelligence officer of the RAW is posted in Kashmir to keep track of the terrorists activities across the border. The ever patriotic Arjun is on an under cover mission involving of the ISI chief Ishaq Khan ( Amrish Puri) who devises a plot to arm the Kashmir terrorists with a nuclear bomb. The extremists have been given permission by the ISI to steal their own nuclear bomb and smuggle it out of the country. The bomb is to be rebuilt in its entirety in Canada with the help of a wealthy business tycoon Zakaria ( Kabir Bedi) who owns a cancer radiation research facility that houses resources where the bomb can be assembled.

Meanwhile Arjun falls in love with a beautiful Kashmiri girl ( Priety Zinta) and she soon gets involved in his work. She gets trained under him and sets off to Pakistan on a mission. But their plan fails and she is exposed to the likes of Ishaq Khan and militants like Rajat Bedi, Khalid Mohammed etc. Arjun saves her from their clutches in the nick of time but the militants keep track of them and explodes the place when their engagement is being celebrated. Priety goes missing and is feared dead.

But apparently Priety is injured and is saved by someone who takes her to London for treatment. Her doctor is Priyanka Chopra who happens to be the daughter of Zakaria. Sunny also reaches London in pursuit of his mission, gets close to Priyanka and plans to marry her to have an access to Zakaria. whew.. that's about it.

The script by Shaktimaan is the main drawback of the film.. in spite of the fiery dialogues included which is notable, the screenplay lacks luster and conviction. The hero dawns umpteen number of flimsy disguises such as an overweight business man Ajoy Chakraborty, an army officer Ravi Batra, a nuclear scientist Wahid Khan etc which everybody else can see through except the ISI chief and his men.

Too much focus on the nuclear bomb could have been avoided. There are a few very well taken action sequences like that of the avalanche, the explosion at the engagement and beautiful locales but the film lacks soul. The emotional part is almost nil unlike 'Gaddar' and there are very few sequences that can pull at the heart strings of the audience.

Sunny Deol sans his usual fiery outbursts plays a quiet intelligence officer and is good as always especially in action sequences. Charming Priety Zinta is excellent with her spontaneous act but her character is not well developed specially after the first half. Priyanka Chopra is just about okay. Amrish Puri is good. Music is no big deal.

Overall the movie is just average fare, could have been made better with its claim of being the most expensive Indian film ever made...
