Paisa Vasool, the debut home production of Manisha Koirala says the story of two women who get together to make easy money and easy living.

The story inspired by Hollywood flick 'High heels and Low Life's ', tells the story of Baby ( Sushmita Sen) and Maria( Manisha Koirala) who happens to meet in Mumbai. Maria runs a bakery in Mumbai and lives in a big bungalow she has inherited. She came to Mumbai from a small town escaping from her cruel husband

Baby is an wannabe actress from Delhi whose major flaw preventing her to reach her goal is her height. She is stuck to roles in music videos and dance numbers. They meet outside a pub and become friendly and Baby comes to live with Maria in her bungalow. Maria is quiet and timid while Baby is optimistic and daring and both dreams of making a lot of money and getting a relief from their boring and meager existence.

One day they overhear a phone conversation between a man and a woman about a theft he had committed involving 3 crores of rupees. They decide to blackmail the crook and get a share of the loot. Baby convinces the reluctant Maria to go ahead with their plans. The rest of the story deals with how they go about their plans and the funny situations which arise due to their inexperience.

Some of the sequences are hilarious but on the whole the film suffers from a shoddy screenplay. The theme was good, with lot of scope for making an exhilarating comedy. But the writers disappoint and at times the pace of the movie is rather slow. Dialogues are witty and the cinematography is good.

Maneesha and Sushmita complement each other very well. They have both done their parts well. Sushmita is very natural and shows a flair for comical roles. This is one talented actress who deserves better roles. Manisha would have been better off without the spectacles. There is no hero as such in the film. The supporting cast are okay.

Overall the film is watchable for its light moments.. an average fare.
