Ritu, a pediatrician working in New York, falls for the wrong guy..
Sunder Kapoor (Jimmy Shergill ) a Punjabi who owns a mobile fast food
joint and has no property. Ritu invites Sunder for a week long stay at
their place with her sisters wedding round the corner to let him and her
father get to know each other better. Ritu is convinced that they would
get along if her father could give him a chance. The rest of the story
is the hilarious encounter between the two of them with Sunder trying
hard to please his in-Laws while Roger making it as hard as possible.
In his eagerness to impress everything backfires for Sunder but does he
convince Roger or not is to be seen...
The story has a fast pace in the beginning but the script falters in
between. Instead of keeping up the pace of lighter movements the script
moves on to concentrate on the typical wedding sequences seen before in
recent releases. Even the characters are not well defined.. the peculiar
traits that made them so funny in the original is missing. Of the lot,
brilliant actor Paresh Rawal gives a decent performance. Even though one
feels that his talent is wasted here. Jimmy Shergill fails to impress.
Kim Sharma is okay as Ritu.
Music by Jatin Lalit is soothing especially 'Chaand Taare'. Cinematography
by Ashok Kumar is visually appealing.. the camera moves through the busy
city with its giant sky scrapers to the lush greenery of the suburban
New Jersey in all its beauty.
Overall the movie is a passable entertainer.
