One day Anuj gets caught while trying to steal examination papers
from the principal's room. The principal warns Aditya and the brothers
have a tiff over it and Anuj leaves home in anger. He does not return
home even the next day. .
A distraught Aditya searches everywhere for his brother and lodges
a police complaint only to find that Anuj is no more. He finds his body
in a morgue and is told that he is shot by the police while trying to
escape, when they were going to arrest him for possessing drugs.
Shocked Aditya couldn't believe his brother doing such a thing and
smells something fishy in the FIR. When he finds that he couldn't get
any further help from the police, he takes it upon himself to reveal
the truth. He gets help from his old girl Payal who is now a lawyer.
Yeshwant Thakur (Rahul Dev), Sunil Yadav (Ganesh Yadav), and Deepak
Sawant (Vishwajeet Pradhan), the three policemen involved in the crime
goes to great lengths to make sure that the truth is not revealed. Aditya
finds himself forced to take up the gun to prove his brother's innocence
The director has presented the story in a slick manner, straight to
the point without any unnecessary add-on's. The first half is engrossing.
The second half is more predictable. Some of the sequences are handled
really well such as the ones where Aditya goes to the police station
to file a complaint and when he finds his brother in the morgue etc.
Action scenes are well done
Bobby proves himself as an actor in an extremely good performance.
Performance wise this film may be his best by far. Lara Dutta also does
her role convincingly. Tara Sharma as Anuj's girlfriend is good especially
in the court room sequences
Though the film has a theme which has been retold umpteen times, it
is worth watching for its execution.
