Through this
therapy, Jack is able to see into the future and discovers that
he is going to die in four days. The rest of the movie deals with how Jack is
going to die. Movie takes a twist towards the end and you have to find out how it
happened.
Director John Maybury masterfully unravels a mysterious tale with
style and grace. He makes the movie interesting by splitting it into many puzzles
and later putting it together and twisting it at the end. His mesmerizing style is totally different from that of others and to understand the end of the
movie, the audience should understand the very beginning and pay good attention
to the developing story. Even though the movie has some flaws- many flashbacks as
well as many twists and turns, still it is a masterpiece in it's own class.
Adrien Brody presents an excellent performance as Jack Starks. Many a times you
will feel like, you are not watching him but you are with him. He is convincingly
crazy and has portrayed the agony and pain suffered by a mental patient very
well. It
is one of his greatest acting role to date. Beautiful Kiera Knightley has performed her
part wonderfully. Other characters are also good.
If you are a Brody or
Knightley fan, you will enjoy this film. The movie makes you think of what you
will do if you know when and how you are going to die. It will be a nice piece of pie for
thought, as each and everyone will
have different answers for this kind of question.
We rate this movie GOOD.
