A German thriller that deals with a protest against the social inequalities by three youngsters that turned into a criminal activity. It is in German with English subtitles.

The story takes place in Berlin where two best friends Jan (Daniel Bruhl) and Peter (Stipe Erceg) protest against the injustices and social problems due to the uneven distribution of wealth. They are against globalization and Third World exploitation. They found a way to carry their protests effectively. They break into elegant homes of rich people who are on vacation and rearrange their furniture's and leave a note saying "Your Days of Plenty Are Numbered" signed "The Edukators". They never steal anything from anybody. They just want to make the rich and powerful people aware that their greed is hurting the society.

Jan and Peter become notorious as "The Edukators". Peter's girlfriend Jule (Julia Jentsch) works as a waitress at an upscale restaurant and she is financially indebted to a rich executive due to a car accident. When Peter decides to go to Barcelona on vacation, he asks Jan to look after Jule and help her paint her new apartment. Jan and Jule start to relate to one another and develop feelings for each other. When Jule discovers about the mansion of the rich executive whom she owes a lot of money, she insists that she and Jan break into that house just for the sake of revenge. But, at the mansion she makes a terrible mistake, leaving her mobile phone behind. When she returned to the mansion together with Jan to retrieve it, they are caught red handed. Now they have to have a plan to get out of trouble, instead they get into a bigger mess. Find out what is going to happen to this trio.

Director Hans Weingartner narrates an unusual story with charm and wit. He touches issues like economic inequality, politics, democracy as well as history and tries to convey a message that unequal distribution of wealth will cause inequality, social unrest as well as anger with in the society. He has stitched a strong web of love, passion, lust, suspense and fear into the movie. By adding a love triangle, he gives an unusual twist to the film. He has made the story funny and enjoyable, with a reason for the audience to feel sympathetic towards each and every character. All three of the main cast deliver an excellent performance.

Overall it is delightful to see a low budget film with such a talented cast. We rate this movie GOOD.
