Kochu Thresia (Sheela) is a widow as well as a neglected mother. Her husband died a few years ago and her children have abandoned her. She is rich but lonely. She has her fair share of problems with her sons and daughters. The kids just pay occasional visits and that itself is very unpleasant for all of them.
Reji (Jayaram) is a hard working young man who has a small business in the town. His father Chacko Mappila (Innocent) is an alcoholic. The father and son has a very strange relationship. Reji becomes friendly with Kochu Thresia and she becomes very attached to him.

The fun loving Kochu Thresia and her young companion have a gala time together. He along with his neighbor cum lover (Nayan thara), makes Kochu Thresia alive again. They develop a special bond and helps each other out in lean situations. Rest of the movie revolves around the problems of Kochu Thresia with her children.

This is a pleasant yet emotional movie. The movie has a special message for the young as well as the old which can be defined which ever way you want it. The direction as well as the screenplay and cinematography are credit worthy. The music is melodious. The director portrays the real life situation of a generation which considers money more important than relationships.

Sheela has tried to make a good come back after a long absence from the silver screen but hasn't changed with the time. Jayaram has done an excellent job. KPAC Lalitha as Sheela's friend has done a wonderful job in her short role. Rest of the cast also had put up a good performance. New comer Nayan Tara is a promising actress.

We rate this movie Very Good.
