A supernatural thriller with a mega star cast from Mahesh Manjrekar inspired by the Hollywood flick 'The Gift' directed by Sam Raimi starring Cate Blanchett and Keanu Reeves.

The story revolves around the main protagonist Drishti ( Bipasha Basu) who is a tarot card reader and the subsequent lives of her clients. Drishti a widow with an eight year old son has an uncanny knack of looking into the future and to sense danger beforehand. Mohit (Suniel Shetty) is a garage mechanic who has a soft corner for Drishti. His torturous childhood has totally screwed him up and made him an odd ball.
Rhea (Neha Dhupia) has to deal with a husband who is violent with her. She lives in constant fear of Sunny ( Dino Morea) her husband and approaches Drishti for a solution to her problem. Drishti advices her that the only way out is to leave her husband. This brings forth Sunny's wrath on Drishti who starts threatening her..
Rahul (Sanjay Dutt) plays the principal of the school where Drishti's son studies. He is engaged to sexy Natasha (Amrita Arora), daughter of the mayor (Sharat Saxena). Drishti finds Natasha in a hot situation with another guy Abhigyan Sharma ( Himanshu Malik), a prosecutor, at a party. Soon after she goes missing mysteriously. A flabbergasted Rahul comes to Drishti to seek her help in tracing Natasha.
A dead body of a girl is found in a lake. who is responsible for the crime? Any body could be the killer. Sunny is suspected of the crime and is arrested and imprisoned. But is he the real murderer?

The director has succeeded in creating an eerie atmosphere and keeps the suspense aspect alive till the end. But the pace is rather slow through out and the climax could have been better dealt with. The role of the characters have been well written and the director has brought out great performances from the cast. Technically the film is up to the mark with fantastic cinematography, special effects, background score and the likes. Music is okay with just three songs.

Bipasha Basu steals the show with her striking performance in a mysterious role very different from her past erotic ones. She proves that she can handle roles with substance if given the chance. The rest of the female cast looks good and is apt for their roles- Amrita Arora, Yana Gupta provides the necessary amount of heat to the film, Neha looks her part as the battered and vulnerable wife. Among the males Dino Morea performs his part as the abusive husband extremely well, Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty leaves an impact in their respective roles. Abshishek Bachchan in his short role is charming and features in the song sequence 'One love' with Bipasha. The rest of the cast are adequate, especially Sachin Khedekar in his court room sequence is impressive.

Overall the film is a watchable fare. We rate it good.
