The movie by music director turned debutant director Sanjay Gupta is an emotional action drama, stylish in execution but lacking in substance.

The movie is about a tough assassin John (John Abraham) who has a change of heart after one of his shoot outs.

John and his accomplices (Murali Sharma and Rajesh Khera) work for mob boss Captain ( Bharat Dabholkar). On a shoot out one day they wipe off one whole family including a little girl. The look on the innocent girls face as she dies haunts John and he decides to quit for good. John's wife Shalini ( Priyanka Chopra) who comes to know of her husband's real profession also pressures him to quit..

But his boss Captain doesn't allow him to leave that easily. He wants him to eradicate his arch rival Yunus (Vishwajeet Pradhan) and three of his accomplices. Captain even kidnaps John's wife Shalini to force the reluctant John to do the job. The rest of the story is about how John deals with the situation and the price he pays for his deeds...

The movie is violent, with double crossing, blood sheds and murders,  including a sequence where the finger of Shalini is cut and given as a gift to John by the Captain. After an initial fine start, the movie degenerates  into the usual track of the underworld theme of fights between mobs. There is nothing new, it is the same old thing seen before. But there are one or two sequences that are deftly handled such as the murder scene in the beginning. Music is ok, the number Tinka Tinka is notable. The action is similar to that in matrix and is repetitive..

John has played his part with earnestness. The talented actor looks good and gives a convincing performance. Priyanka Chopra leaves an impact. Shiney Ahuja of the 'Sins' fame acts as a cop and doesn't get much scope to perform. The rest of the cast is strictly ok.

Overall the movie is all gloss and not much substance.
