Ishq Vishk is a film that will definitely take you back to your old college days.. A debut from Music Video / Ad film director Ken Ghosh which is a natural and sensitive fare, sans the usual trappings.

The story is simple but it is the way it is told, that is impressive. Rajeev (Shahid Kapoor) and Paayal ( Amrita Rao) are old friends. They have grown up together and studies in the same college. Paayal is in love with Rajeev but Rajeev who is the hero of their gang in college thinks that she is too simple for him. He is on the lookout for a glamorous doll who turns out to be Alisha (Shenaz Treasurywalla) the new girl in college. With her looks and style she has every guy in college after her. Rajeev tries out ways to woo her and succeeds... but is she the one he really wants?

The film has everything that makes it likable.. the acting, the hilarious dialogues and one liners, the costumes, Cinematography, the music- all contributes to the light hearted mood of the film. The life style of the youngsters have been depicted beautifully. Emotional scenes have been handled really well. Credit goes to the director for putting it all together just right.

Music by Anu Malik is catchy and the picturization of 'Chot Dil Pe Lagi' and 'Ishq Vishk Pyar Vyar' is slick. Like wise the dance sequence of the song 'Kya Mera Chehra Romantic Hai' has been choreographed well

For a debutant, Shahid Kapoor has given an excellent performance. He is a natural in emoting and is a good dancer as well. He could go far. Amrita Rao is another one to look out for. She has done well especially in emotional sequences. Shehnaz the former MTV veejay looks stunning as usual and performs okay. Other actors Vishal Malhotra as Mambo and Yash Tonk as the college love guru provides ample support.

On the whole its a movie worth watching.. a refreshing and touching tale that you'll love..
