Karachi Halwa

Ingredients :

Sugar powder - 200 g
Red food color -  
Ghee - 100 g
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Cashew nuts - few, crushed
Raisins - few
Corn flour - 50 g

Cooking Method :

First, make sugar syrup by adding sugar to the boiling water. Allow it to boil well. In a bowl, take corn flour and add water to it.

In a pan, melt ghee. Now to it add corn flour mixture, and turn the flame to medium mode. Stir continuously until it thickens.

Once it thickens, turn off the flame and add sugar syrup little by little. Switch on the flame when syrup is completely added. Now add food color usually red color is used. Mix it nicely so that the color is spread all over.

Now add the crushed nuts to it. Sprinkle cardamom powder which gives a good flavour. Adding raisins is optional.

Plate up the halwa while it is still hot. Allow it to cool for sometime. Once it is ready, cut the halwa into any shape and serve it!!
