| Miss Hyderabad 2011, one of the biggest beauty platforms for girls in Hyderabad organised by Kalamandir and Page3 Entertainments was held on October 7th 2011at Novotel
After more than two weeks of grooming sessions, in a keenly fought contest that saw 18 finalists, Anushka Shah won the Miss Hyderabad title. Ashna Mishra and Manisha Sonal were the first and second runner-ups respectively. Other titles such as 'Miss Mirchi Hot' went to Ashna Misra, 'Miss Popular' to Anushka Shah, 'Miss Best Smile' to Smriti G, 'Miss Photogenic' to Kanupriya Chowdary and 'Miss Congeniality' to Jolanda M.
The contestants participated in various rounds like catwalk, traditional wear and question-answer sessions. Judges -MD of Livelife Hospitals Dr Nandkishore, fashion photographer Sharath Shetty, fashion designer Shravan, social worker and former editor of Hyderabad Times Vanaja Banagiri examined the talents of the finalists through various rounds.
Along with the title comes a lot of responsibility and fringe benefits, like being the beauty brand ambassador of Hyderabad, getting trained by the best people, a walk through Tollywood and a car for the winner. Overall the pageant acts as a platform for aspirants to make it big in the glamour world. |
