Khadi-inspired Fashion Show turned many heads at the ongoing IITF 2013.
A brilliant lineup of ninety six garments was presented in six sequences depicting Khadi in its journey from the time of pre-independence to contemporary Fashion.
Designs made out of khadi cotton, khadi silk, khadi polyvastra, khadi woolen, fabrics hand spun perfected with tribal jewelry, woven by more than 700 artists and master craftsmen from across the country hit the ramp together and made the fashion extravaganza a unique experience. Each piece exuded a feeling of the common man in its fashion forward form.
"Indian artisans and craftsmen possess tremendous skill and craft. It is important that there work is showcased in a way that has mass appeal. And, the Khadi-inspired Fashion Show did just that.
