  • Cleanse area thoroughly with soap and warm water, carefully washing away any dirt.

  • Apply direct pressure to wound until bleeding stops.

  • Put sterile bandage on wound. 

  • Look out for signs of infection like swelling, redness, pain, fever and pus.

  • Seek medical attention if the wound is very deep, if it is on a sensitive part of the body and if it shows any signs of infection.

Electric shocks

  • Try to remove the victim from the source of electricity as soon as possible with the help of 

  1. A dry wooden stick

  2. Rubber gloves

  3. Thick bulk of dry cotton

  4. Dry cloth
    Avoid direct contact.

  • Turn off the master switch to disconnect the power 

  • If he is not breathing, begin rescue breathing immediately.

  • If there are any signs of respiratory distress start mouth to mouth respiration at once.

  • Take him to the doctor as soon as possible.
