| St. James' Park is set to host a total of nine matches, including a quarter-final in both the men's and women's competitions. The London Summer Olympics 2102 football tournament will be held from 26 July - 4 August 2012 at St. James' Park. There are over 504 athletes, i.e., 288 men and 216 women participating in the Olympic 2012 football matches. The Olympic 2012 football competitions consist of 16 men's teams and 12 women's teams. Nearly 2,400 footballs are expected to be used during the London 2012 Football competitions. |
