Located 9kms from the railway station and 2 minutes drive from the airport,
Bijasen Tekri is an ideal picnic spot surrounded by gardens and a
small lake. It offers a breathtaking view of the city and a magnificent
view of the sunset. This tekri (hillock) has a temple dedicated to Bijasen
Mata which was built in the year 1920. The fair, held here during the
nine-day long Navratri festival, attracts large crowd. There were a guest
house of the Holkars at the top of the hill which has been converted into
Border Security Arms Museum.
