Indore, the largest city in Madhya Pradesh situated on the banks of the two rivers Sarasvati and Khan, derived its name from the 18th century Indreshwar temple. It is also known as the City of Holkars as it was planned and built by Rani Ahilyabai Holker, one of the famous queen of India.
