Indore is a shopper’s delight with textiles, art and crafts ware, metal wares, jewelries and handicrafts. The city flooded with lots of shopping complexes, malls and markets provides fascinating items like colorful glass bangles, wood-carved products, leather toys and the good-looking embroidered saris. The oldest and the most famous market in Indore is the Maharaja Tukuganj Cloth Market, well known as MT Market famous for traditional Maheshwari saris with their distinguishing borders and the high-quality Chanderi saris. Other major markets of Indore are Kothari Market - where all the prominent showrooms of important companies of Bombay Dying, Raymonds, Louis Phillipe are located; Sitlamata Bazaar - a retail market for selling saris and other clothing's; Khajuri Bazaar - offering wide variety of books ,stationery items , leather goods in traditional, designs, gold and silverwork; Heritage Market - consisting of handloom and handicraft items and International branded showrooms like Nike, Lee, Arrow, Van Hussein, Grasim and Woodland etc; Topkhnana Market Complex - offering shops of western and Indian wears; R.N.T. Marg - for departmental stores; Bada and Chota Sarafa Market - for jewelry, delicious sweets and spicy foods; Marothia Bazaar - consisting Groceries , arts & crafts articles; The Kasera Bazaar- for metal work and artifacts and Palasia Market- consisting of numerous shops of famous companies like Nike, Grasim, Woodlands, Allen Solly, Arrow, Van Husain, Lee etc. Various handcrafted curios and souvenirs of Madhya Pradesh are available at the Government State Emporium located on M G Road. Apart these, there are several markets located on the Jail Road which are famous for selling the handicrafts of the odd tribal souvenirs to practical papier-mâché articles, terracotta pieces and wood-carved objects.
