Jai Villas Palace, also called Raj Bari is one of the major tourist destination in Jawahar which is about 79 kms from Thane. The palace nestled amidst thick forests on top of a rock provides a breathtaking view of the surrounding hill station. Built by a Tribal King named Yashvanrao Mukane, this marvel palace surrounded by extensive cashew nut plantations, displays the culture and the life style of tribal kings in the erstwhile Munke family. There are around 80 rooms in the palace providing a glimpse of the curios and furniture of the times. Apart from the intricate antique furniture, a range of stuffed tigers and a huge lobby can also be found here.
