The Urusvati Museum of Folklore, located at Madhram in Shilkopur Village,
Gurgoan, is a treasure store of Indian folk stories. Sprawl over an area
of five and half acres of land, the museum lies on the way to Jaipur,
approximately 10 kilometers away from Hero Honda chowk. Urusvati Museum
of Folklore is the only museum of its kind which showcases the legendry
love stories of country through trans-lights, dioramas, painting, prints
and sculptures. The exhibits here include various paintings, folk art,
crafts, sculptures and dioramas along with costumes, jewelries, folk musical
instruments and potteries etc. The museum provide sufficient parking area
and within the premises there is a souvenir shop and a cafeteria. The
museum opens from 10.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on all days except on Mondays
and the entry fee is Rs. 25/- per person.
