Ata is a small village at Nuh taluk, located 5 kms east of Sohna on Sohna- Hathin Road. During the time of Gurjara-Pratiharas, it was an important center of art and architecture. Early historic pottery and late medieval remains have been excavated from this place. The beautiful statues of  Uma Maheshvara seated on Nandi of early medieval period and Adinath of medieval period are among them.
