Business and Management
includes vocational courses such as accountancy and marketing and economics.
Business courses can be general, specialized, and extremely specialized courses
. Specialized courses cover areas such as marketing, personal management, hospitality
management and insurance. Extremely specialized courses include business of
perfumery and small business enterprise
Business
studies courses lasts for 3 or 4 years, with a sandwich year included.
There are some intensive two year degree which combined with a science subject
or engineering can lead to a BSc degree. Higher national diploma or HND takes
two or three years to complete and it can be converted into a degree. An advanced
business qualification can lead to an MBA
Accountancy
courses lasts for 3 to 4 years including a sandwich year. They lead to a BA,
BSc, B.Com, BAcc or BFin Degree. Actuarial degrees specialise in banking and
insurance. They last three to 4 years and normally lead to BSc. All these degrees
can be combined with other subjects.
Pure
economics degrees last for three years. Most business courses are based in business
schools with in Universities.
