Assamese Hindus observe the
Durga puja, the Daul Utsava called Fakuwa, the
Janmashtami, the Saraswati, Lakshmi and the Kali pujas. The
Muslims observe the Id and the Muharram. In some parts, the snake goddess
Manasa is worshipped by tribals and non-tribals alike.
