every skin problem, the majority of these are made up of chemicals which are not
good for our skin. It is necessary to take care of glowing skin with simple
Ayurvedic home remedies. Ayurveda brings up various natural ways to care for
glowing and healthy skin.

Cucumber and lemon juice
The cooling nature of cucumber helps to reduce the pain and redness of a
sunburn. Crush the cucumber into a paste, add two tablespoons of lemon juice
to the paste, and apply onto the skin with cotton and leave it for 15
minutes.

Sandalwood and Turmeric
The natural oils in sandalwood help to clear the skin and makes it glow.
Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and
healing properties. Mix sandalwood and
turmeric in equal amount with rose water and apply it onto the face, and
keep it for 30 minutes.

Olive Oil
Olive oil is a natural moisturizer which contains antioxidants and fatty
acids. Apply it onto your skin before bed every night. This helps to prevent
the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

Honey and Lemon
Make a mixture of lemon juice with honey. Apply it on your face as a facial
cream. You can also use this paste on your legs, neck, hands. keep it on
your skin for at least 8-10 minutes before you wash your face. It helps in
skin glow in minutes. You can also use this remedy in summer whenever the
skin tends to become oily quite often.

Basil or Tulsi paste
Tulsi paste is the best way to get rid of pimples when you use it on a
regular basis. If you can’t get fresh tulsi, then you can grab a bottle of
dried tulsi leaves from your local shop and steep it in warm water about 2-3
teaspoons such that the paste can be formed and use it on your face for some
time for 4-5 times a week.

Margosa or Neem Leaves
Neem leaves are best for treating pimples. Make a paste of neem leaves and
apply it on the pimples. If you are not able to get fresh neem leaves, you
can try to get some dried bottled neem leaves, steep it for 20 minutes in
warm water and use as a paste.

Watermelon
Watermelon has innumerable benefits. Eating it is extremely beneficial for
your health during summer. Don't throw away the watermelon rind after
cutting. Rub the fleshy part of the watermelon rind on your skin–this helps
to calm your skin and to reduce redness caused by sunburns.

Sesame Seeds
Make a paste of sesame seeds. Soak the seeds overnight and then make it into
a fine paste or use the readily available powder. Apply it on your face for
10 minutes and see the difference in your skin tone.

Mint
Soak the mint leaves and make it a fresh paste because it helps to provide a
cooling effect on the skin. It helps to reduce pimples and it also reduces
in size as well. Using this ayurvedic medicine regularly will help one get

You can also use potato juice/ slice/ grated potato directly on your
pimples. Apply the juice of the potato on the face for 10 minutes and then
