Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar

Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara Sahib is located in Pimpri, nearly 7 kms away from Pune Station. This Gurudwara is open to all irrespective of the caste and religion. One could hear the formal Punjabi greeting ‘Sat Sri Akaal’ while entering the Gurudwara. Everyday the rituals of Gurudwara starts with the Darbar at 5:00 am along with shabad kirtan . On every Thursday between 7. 30 and 9. 00 pm a Bhandara program is observed and numerous devotees from different communities gathered here to attend this significant day.

The Main festivals of the Gurudwara are Baisakhi (new year of Sikhs) and Gurpurb (celebration of an anniversary related to the lives of the Sikh gurus). During the festival the Gurudwara is fully decorated with colorful lights and flowers and a procession is carried out by the sikh community. The Gurudwara has a community hall for celebrations and also provides accommodation facilities and langar facilities to the devotees. Akhandpath performed here along with the loud reading of Guru Granth Sahib for 48hours and Kirtan performed on occasions like birth, death and marriage are the other rituals. This Gurudwara also refered as the Hollywood Gurudwara, which was derived from the name Hollywood club. Hollywood club  is a  club for the British which was situated in the place of the Gurudwara in the past. Later the club was converted into a Gurudwara by a sardarji with the permission of the army. Pune Sikh Association Trust, Camp, looks after this Gurudwara.
