Located 7.5kms east of Nagpur at Surya Nagar is the Lata Mangeshkar Musical Garden which was built under the direction of Jaiprakash Gupta, a trustee of NIT. The major attraction of this landscaped lawn garden is the musical fountain. This attractive musical fountain with themes of musical nodes and different musical tunes are operated by musicians. Lata Mangeshkar Garden also houses a huge open-air theatre which can accommodate about 2500 people.
